5 December is always a special day for the Dutch, a time to surprise each other with gifts, and to eat typical Dutch treats.
If you are looking for Dutch chocolate letters, ginger nuts, gingerbread, marzipan, speculaas or other yummy food,

The pepernoot is a cookie with a long history.
The Sinterklaas celebration, unlike what we know it today, has been celebrated in the Netherlands since 1600.
At that time, gingerbread cookies were still made from dough scraps from the relatively cheap gingerbreads and gingerbreads.
The result: square kibble that tasted like gingerbread.
Many people think that pepernoten and kruidnoten are the same thing. This is not the case.
The difference lies in the structure and size of the cookie.
The old Dutch pepernoten are large, most resembling taai taai the most and are made from rye flour and anise.
Also for gluten free and/or lactose free products you are in the right place.
We at Hollandshopper supply a large range of decorations, like guirlandes, strings of flags, napkins, cups and plates, to make your party a real Dutch sinterklaasfeest.
