From a cellar on the Waterlooplein in Amsterdam, Charles Kesbeke, the namesake of our family business, started his pickling business just after the war.
Everything that could be pickled was pickled: rollmops, liver sausage, mussels, herring in brine, pan herring and... pickles and onions.
