It all started in 1956 with the production of prawn crackers.
In the barn at Harry's mother's in the Rozenstraat there was a huge copper kettle, in which we boiled the prawn cracker dough.
The prawn breads were then steamed in a bain-marie. All manual work and physically very demanding, the whole family helped.
In the beginning, we only had a few customers, mainly army kitchens."

The name Inproba comes from 'Indische producten Baarn'. The company was founded by Harry Libbenga and a partner, who soon left the company.
