The HG brand was developed in the 1960s by Swedish entrepreneur Hågan Gip.
He has high-quality cleaning products developed under the name HG Hagesan for professional use.
In 1969, Van Altena B.V. in Heemstede started importing HG products into the Netherlands.
In the mid-1970s, Van Altena B.V. bought the recipes and trademark rights from HG.
And almost at the same time, the production of the HG Hagesan products in the Netherlands starts.
They will continue under the current brand name: HG.

HG 'Does what it promises' has become an indispensable part of the Dutch kitchen cupboard.

Manufacturers recommend descaler based on lactic acid or based on citric acid, HG has both!
